Questions making sense?

What would be your perfect way to spend a night with friends? How would you make the world a better place? What are your best tips for improving economics policies? 25 words or less please ...... okay, these questions may make some sense, but there's a common thread here, they're all toughies.

I sometimes wonder how or why extremely difficult or creative WOL questions keep surfacing. It's good to test creativity sometimes, however I sometimes wonder if promoters really think about the reason for making a question less than straightforward.

Members of Competitions Guide will know that the majority of competitions do require a skills based answer to a question. There are some that are very good at them, and others that will simply click onto the next. There is a place for creativity, and if you read Mel McFadden's piece in our Your Stories section you can see that there is reward for those who put a lot of time and effort in.

But, when competitions are simple giveaways, I'm starting to see more and more questions coming through asking questions such as "what do you like about our product?" or "what would you do to improve our website". These are great questions, because the answer will mean something to those that manage the business that run the competition.

Promoters can actually gain valuable feedback. And, for the entrant, they get to answer a question honestly and openly and can get selected as a winner for their input.

A friend has recently won 3 prizes based on answers given to improve the service of businesses.

As much as it's a cliche, it's a total win-win!

do they actually read these.
Do advertisers actually read all answers, or do they do that just to stop atuomatic entries.
