Please help Mike and Trish

I was touched to receive a note in my letterbox that Mike and Trish are urgently looking for a home. Not ANY home, mind you ... my home specifically.

You see, things are tough in the housing market and it seems that the couple in question have decided that they want to buy the house that I live in. Being shy however, they have asked a local real estate agent to deliver the letter ... who funnily enough made a mistake and delivered the same letter to every house in the street.

I think you know where I'm going with this. Having spent years in the "promo industry" I get annoyed with these type of stunts. Not that I think anyone actually falls for them, but the idea that the modern day consumer could be taken for an idiot.

Quite often our members highlight the fact that competitions that claim to be free require at the last second a purchase to activate the free entry. Some of these have slipped through the net at Shoppers Bonus I hate to admit.

The best defense is not to respond, but something tells me that even that won't bring home the message!
